The Cabasse Baltic 5 is a compact spherical loudspeaker equipped with a newly developed 3-way coaxial driver. Its advanced design delivers detailed, natural reproduction across the entire frequency range, from crisp highs to deep bass. The combination of its spherical enclosure and coaxial architecture provides excellent phase coherence, spatial accuracy and musicality, closely approaching the ideal of a point-source speaker. Designed for versatile placement, the Baltic 5 On Base comes with a refined brushed aluminium base, allowing it to be positioned on furniture. It can also be wall-mounted thanks to its integrated mounting system. With its distinctive sculptural appearance and high-end acoustic performance, the Baltic 5 delivers 250 W RMS and 1,210 W peak power, making it suitable for both compact listening spaces and larger living areas.

About the product

What are the key features of the Baltic 5?

3-way coaxial TCA

To further improve the performance of the Baltic 4 without changing the dimensions of its spherical enclosure, Cabasse developed exclusive aramid films for new midrange and bass/midrange diaphragms.

Their optimized profile maximizes the radiating surface while minimizing fixed areas and diffraction, ensuring exceptionally smooth and consistent sound dispersion from the highest frequencies down to the bass.

The new TCA honeycomb structure combines lightness and rigidity, while powerful new rare-earth magnets improve the speaker’s efficiency and power handling. The two diaphragms are produced simultaneously from the same material by a Cabasse robot, ensuring consistent performance and long-term reliability.

HDSE filters

The Cabasse measurement protocol, carried out in an anechoic chamber, takes measurements both on-axis and through 360°, allowing precise control of directivity and total radiated power.

This follows the HDSE (Homogeneous Distribution of Sonic Energy) principle, ensuring consistent energy distribution between direct and reflected sound. The result is a wide, stable and coherent soundstage.

Power and connectivity

On the rear panel, the Cabasse Baltic 5 features a pair of terminals compatible with large-gauge speaker cables, banana plugs and spade connectors.

With its 91 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm impedance, it can be easily paired with a wide range of hi-fi or home cinema amplifiers.

Its 250 W RMS power handling and 1,210 W peak power allow it to effectively fill even large rooms with sound.
